I’ve been struggling to find a good alternative face wash since Zinc Pyrithione was banned. I had high hopes for this product, but unfortunately, the salicylic acid in the formula doesn’t work for my skin. It caused dryness, redness, and patchiness, particularly around my eyes, which became red, wrinkly, and dry. While the face wash did leave my skin feeling soft initially, the salicylic acid just doesn’t agree with me, I have had similar reactions with other products containing it.
After about two washes, the uncomfortable crawling sensation on my skin returned. Clevesoap, I’d love to see a Piroctone Olamine face wash without salicylic acid. Your Zinc Pyrithione range had a salicylic acid-free option, so why not offer the same here?
I’ve also tried other alternative products from Clevesoap, but sadly, none have worked for me either. They dried out my skin, irritated my rosacea, and triggered contact dermatitis. I have extremely sensitive skin due to my Levothyroxine medication for Hypothroidism and suffer from both seborrheic dermatitis and rosacea, so finding the right product is a real challenge. I really miss the Zinc Pyrithione, it was perfect for my skin. Unfortunately, this product just isn’t suitable for me.
